You know the old saying we all heard as kids? “If everyone else jumped off a bridge, would you jump too?” Our moms loved reminding us how to be individuals and think for ourselves.

What fun is that?

I am jumping, thanks to my writing pal, who often leads me astray, Patricia Haddock. Apparently, it wasn’t enough for her to bare her soul; she invited others to join in the revelation.

If you are curious about how this all began, it started quite innocently, at least, I hope that was the intention of Brett Jenae Tomlin, aka the anxiousenthusiast . And you know what the worst part is? I saw this last week and thought, sure, why not. Then today, when I sat down to knock this prompt off my list, I discovered it is a contest in BJ’s This or That Publication.

I have a love/hate relationship with competition. My competitive side won’t disappear, and my thirst for time for myself and other endeavors goes dry.

So here goes nothing!

This or That?

  1. Resolutions or No Resolutions? Not really resolutions, but continuing and adapting goals with no real beginning or end. Just a gal trying to improve one day at a time.
  2. Mountains or Ocean? MOUNTAINS as I shout from one. Not fond of hot weather and sticky sandy beaches, I fell in love with the Mountains of upstate New York in an area called the Adirondacks. Give me a cabin in the mountains with a lake and a kayak, and I am in heaven.
  3. Fiction or Nonfiction? Both I enjoy fiction for the respite it gives me from life and its demands; however, I love learning and discovering new ideas and ways to do things. But don’t give me an instruction manual. I have a friend who loves reading those things. I know she isn’t right, but I love her anyway. And besides, I know who to call when I need to put something together.
  4. Morning or Night? Mostly mornings because I love the excitement of a new day, but a night under the stars is incredible too.
